My youngest daughter got married a couple weeks ago, and she and her new husband are hosting an I DO BBQ tomorrow nite. (they had a very small wedding, and no reception, so this is their reception!)
She didn't get a First Christmas ornament at her shower, so I decided to make her one:
A couple years ago I made puzzle piece ornaments for the grandkids, and have a BUNCH of pieces left over. They are from a large puzzle so they are about 2 inches each.
I used two different gelli plate prints I had done to stock up on Christmas colors for projects this season, stamped some snowflakes and a North Pole postmark ... stamped and cut out the words and glittered the whole thing. (I hate glitter)
Added a small piece of wood on the back to aid the glue in keeping the pieces together ... forever!
I have seen mixed media projects where they have taken puzzle pieces and collaged each of them different, and then put the puzzle back together -- so cute! I'd like to try it sometime ... there are a lot of pieces left over!!
